BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 8:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 8:33 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 9/24/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 62/2024 Enter into contract with The Standard Plumbing and Heating Co., LLC in the amount of $188,458.00 for the Downtown Ice Rink Chiller Replacement Project pursuant to the design-build selection process per ORC 153, which complies with state competitive bidding requirements. Discussion: Mayor Sherer asked if there is a PLA for this project. Director Highman confirmed that there is. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 81/2023 Enter into Change Order No. 2 with Wenger Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $93,039.63 for the 4th St. SE Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project, GP 1338 due to additional storm sewer due to the condition of existing storm sewer and for sidewalk replacement, resulting in a new contract amount of $4,004,500.33. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded.  Discussion: No discussion.
