SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Special Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 10:33 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 10/1/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 8/2023 Enter into Change Order No. 2 & Final with Arcadis Engineering Services (USA), Inc. fka IBI Group, for a cost reduction in the amount of $26,968.60 for the design services on the Perry Heights Water Main Replacement Project, Phase 2, in order to close out the project, resulting in a new contract amount of $143,055.40. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 3/2024 Award and enter into contract with JMW Welding & Manufacturing, Inc. in the amount of $210,015.00 for the Sugar Creek Water Treatment Plant Lagoon Cleanout, Removal and Disposal of Sludge, pending City Council’s approval of funds. Discussion: Director Highman confirmed that the funds for this project have been approved by City Council.
