SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Special Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 9:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 9:38 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman was present. Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 10/8/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinances 60/2023 & 193/2024 Enter into a contract amendment with ICAN Housing for the program to assist Homelessness Prevention. This will extend the contract expenditure deadline from August 31, 2024 to January 31, 2025. This amendment will also increase the contract amount from $20,000.00 to $51,823.50. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced amendment. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinances 60/2023 & 193/2024 Enter into a contract amendment with Domestic Violence Project, Inc. in order to decrease the contract amount for domestic violence shelter activities from $108,168.50 to $76,345.00 utilizing fiscal year 2023 ESG funding. The contract will expire on March 31, 2025. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced amendment. Ordinances 105/2024 & 193/2024 Enter into a contract amendment with Domestic Violence Project, Inc. in order to increase the contract amount for domestic violence shelter activities from $50,000.00 to $81,823.50 utilizing fiscal year 2024 ESG funding. Ordinances 211/2023 & 123/2024 Enter into Change Order No. 1 with MediaNet AV, LLC in the amount of $10,000.00 for the Civic Center Audiovisual Improvements Project due to the Yamaha QL1 mixing console that was bid, no longer being available. The Yamaha DM7C is recommended as the replacement, resulting in a new contract amount of $1,036,873.16. Discussion: No discussion. Ordinance 183/2024 Enter into a three-year professional services agreement with iWorQ Systems, Inc. in the amount of $45,285.00 per year for an enterprise software program for the Building Code Dept. This agreement shall automatically renew for successive one-year terms. Support and service fees may increase in subsequent years, but will increase no more than 5% per year.
