SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Special Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM. Director of Public Service, John Highman was present. Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 12/24/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 259/2024 Enter into contract with Hylant Administrative Services, LLC for a total premium in the amount of $537,960.00 for the City’s Liability and Auto Physical Damage Insurance Coverage effective January 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026. Discussion: Katie Wise indicated that the total premium price has been revised due to notification from Hylant regarding a safety allowance, as part of the Ohio Plan in the amount of $19,214.00 credit. Therefore, the actual premium amount is $518,746.00, rather than $537,960.00. Director Highman added that the new policy expiration date will now be the end of February, rather than December of each year. This will get us away from the year end rush. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
