OLD BUSINESS: None
PUBLIC SPEAKS: David Kerestes spoke on different things he sees going on in the city. Stephanie Ferrell,
Joshua Brown, Tiffany Roberson, and Chamone Russell all spoke about their issues with CPS. Skylark Bruce,
Michael White, Larinda Johnson, Bennett Parker and Alex Keller spoke about their concerns with the camping
ban and asked Council to repeal it. Shawn Kirby spoke how difficult it is to get housing and resources in the
city. Ranae Ulrich explained why she felt the system is rigged. Kim Bell suggested suspending Public Speaks
and brainstorming on how to move forward. Justin Nicely spoke on his experiences with city issues.
INFORMAL RESOLUTIONS:
1. Council-As-A-Whole: Commending Giant Eagle for their on-going commitment to the City of
Canton and its residents. – ADOPTED

ANNOUNCEMENT OF COMMITTEE MEETINGS:
MONDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2025 @ 6:30 PM
Finance Committee
Presentation - Kathy Catazaro – Perry with Community Building Partnerships
CITY ANNOUNCEMNETS: Mayor Sherer gave his condolences to Ryan Godbey's family and thanked
everyone who was involved with the case. He also informed everyone that Sarta will be donating two buses for
the Shower Bus Idea presented by Robert Ford. He reminded everyone Trick or Treat will be Sunday, October
26th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Trunk or Treat At Stadium Park, Thursday, October 30th from 5:30 PM to 7:30
PM, and Trunk or Treat at Edward "Peel" Coleman Community Center, Saturday November 1st from 3:00 PM
to 6:00 PM.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: Member Mariol reiterated that CPS issues are handled over at the County
Government Building and explained there are layers to the local government and encouraged the public to seek
the head of those departments they are having problems with, to assist them. He also explained that in regards to
city funding, the city doesn't pick the investments. They city only invests the monies into an account. Mayor
Sherer informed everyone there will also be a Trunk or Treat Downtown, Friday, October 31st from 5:00 PM to
7:00 PM.
