A closed session will be held, pursuant to Government Code § 54956.8, to enable
the Housing Authority to consider negotiations with Peter Starflinger, Park
Granada, with whom the Housing Authority is negotiating, and to give direction to
its negotiators Cecil Rhambo, Assistant Executive Director and Barry Waite, Acting
Community Development Director regarding that certain real property known as
218 W. Carson Street. The Authority's real property negotiator will seek direction
from the Authority Board regarding the price, conditions and terms of payment for
the property.

CONTRACT FOR PROJECT NO. 1439: TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF
223RD STREET AND LUCERNE STREET
Recommendation: TAKE the following actions:
1. AWARD a construction contract for Project No. 1439: Traffic
Signal Installation at the Intersection of 223rd Street and
Lucerne Street in the amount of $235,000.00 to the lowest
responsible bidder Smart Tech Group, Inc.
2. AUTHORIZE the expenditure of construction contingencies, if
necessary, in the amount of $35,250.00 (15%) for change
orders such as substructure conflicts and other unforeseen
construction work that may be required to complete this project.
3. APPROPRIATE $75,000.00 from the unallocated Carson
Successor Agency Series C and D bond funds to augment the
amount of $200,000.00 that is currently budgeted for Project No.
1439.
4. AUTHORIZE the Chairman to execute the contract following
approval as to form by the Agency Counsel (Exhibit No. 3).
