CITY OF CARSON Page 2 Housing Authority/Successor Agency/City Council AGENDA TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2015 DISCUSSION: (Items 5-7) Item No. 5. 2015-807 CONSIDERATION OF A POSSIBLE CENSURE OF CITY CLERK JIM DEAR (CITY COUNCIL) Recommendation: The City Council take the following actions: 1) Invite the Interim City Manager to present this staff report and respond to questions about the same from members of the City Council; 2) Invite the City's independent investigator to present the results of her investigation and make recommendations for remedial measure and respond to questions about the same from members of the City Council; 3) Invite Mr. Dear, or his legal counsel, to respond to the staff and investigator presentations and to respond to questions about his response from the members of the City Council; 4) Invite members of the public to comment on this agenda item; 5) Following public comments, consider whether to take a legislative action to censure the City Clerk and, if so, direct staff to bring back a resolution consistent with the discussions and action of the City Council; and/or 6) Take such other action as the City Council deems appropriate and consistent with the requirements of law. Mayor to CONSIDER, APPOINT, or REAPPOINT members to the Commissions, Committees, and Boards (Exhibit No. 1) in accordance with Ordinance No. 13-1516 regarding the number and composition of various commissions (Exhibit No. 2); Ordinance No. 13-1519 regarding the number of members of various commissions (Exhibit No. 3); Ordinance No. 13-1520 regarding the composition of various commissions (Exhibit No. 4); and Resolution No. 13-046 regarding the composition of the Carson Utility Users Tax Citizens Budget Oversight Committee (Exhibit No. 5); 2.
