CITY COUNCIL MINUTES November 26, 2013 CONTINUED MEETING OF THE CARTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL (Continued from November 12, 2013) The meeting was held in the Council Chambers with Mayor Bradley M. Robinson presiding. He called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Bradley M. Robinson Mayor Present Michele A. Edwards City Clerk Present Mary Jane Fuller Deputy City Clerk Absent Mark Carney City Treasurer Absent Rick Ellet Alderman/Ward 4 Present Phyllis Emery Alderman/Ward 4 Present Tom Gentry Alderman/Ward 1 Present John Gooden Alderman/Ward 3 Present Mike Helfrich Alderman/Ward 2 Absent James Houseworth Alderman/Ward 1 Absent Curt Oetjen Alderman/Ward 2 Present Tony Trombino Alderman/Ward 3 Present The Mayor declared a quorum present. Others present were: Retia L. Watson, Clerk; Bill Kirk, Planning/Zoning Committee; Wayne Gerlock and Jennifer Gerlock, 741 S. Division Street; Janice McConnaughy; and Bud Edwards, Maintenance Superintendent. The Mayor asked the Council to make a decision regarding the Variance Hearing for 741 S. Division Street. Motion 26: Gentry moved and Trombino seconded to allow the variance as presented for the property owned by Jennifer Gerlock at 741 S. Division Street. A roll call vote was taken, and all present voted yea. The Mayor declared the motion carried. The Clerk presented two bills from Moore Medical in the amount of $2,146.32 for ambulance supplies that did not get on the spreadsheet for the November meeting. Motion 27: Trombino moved and Ellet seconded to approve payment of two invoices to Moore Medical in the amount of $2,146.32 for ambulance supplies. A roll call vote was taken, and all present voted yea. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Continued Meeting of the Carterville City Council Tuesday, November 26, 2013 Page 2 Bud Edwards thanked the Council for their quick turn around on the new 1 Ton Truck that was purchased recently. This will be on the December agenda for approval for a motion. There is a savings of $38,700.00 on this purchase. The Mayor reminded the Council members of the Community Thanksgiving meal at the Community Center on November 28, 2013 and also reminded them of the Downtown Christmas Event on December 6, 2013. Motion 30: Ellet moved and Oetjen seconded to adjourn the meeting. All voted yea and the Mayor dismissed the meeting at 7:32 p.m. ___________________________ Next Ordinance No. 1349-13 Michele A.
