PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING August 23, 2017, 6:00 PM 13133 E. ARAPAHOE ROAD MINUTES 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Sutherland called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM. 2. ROLL CALL Those present were: Chair Sutherland Commissioner Beatty Commissioner Cohen Commissioner Griffis Commissioner Hart Commissioner Larimer Commissioner Sims Commissioner Suhaka Commissioner Urtz Also present were: Jill Hassman, Assistant City Attorney Derek Holcomb, Deputy Director of Community Development Michael Gradis, Planner II Kelly Hickler, Planner I Jennifer Wood, Recording Secretary a. Alternate Selection for Voting Purposes 3. CONSENT AGENDA Commissioner Hart moved approval of the CONSENT AGENDA. Commissioner Suhaka seconded the motion. With Commissioners Cohen, Griffis, Hart, Sims, Suhaka, Urtz, and Chair Sutherland, voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; the motion was approved by a vote of seven (7) AYE and none (0) NAY. a. Consideration of Resolutions i. Resolution No. 2017-PZ-R-17, Navy Federal Credit Union Site Plan Ratification (Case No. LU-17-00106) ii. Resolution No. 2017-PZ-R-18, St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church Site Plan Ratification (Case No. LU-17-00097) Minutes – Planning and Zoning Commission August 23, 2017 Page 2 b. Consideration of Other Items c. Approval of Minutes 4. LAND USE APPLICATIONS/PUBLIC HEARINGS a. Resolution No. 2017-PZ-R-16, Strawberry Hill Office Park Third Floor Addition Site Plan (Case No. LU-17-00186) Kelly Hickler, Planner I, presented. The Applicant, Wayne LaGrone of DEC Architects, answered questions from the Commissioners. Chair Sutherland opened the public hearing and seeing no one present wishing to speak, the public hearing was closed. Commissioner Urtz moved approval of Resolution 2017-PZ-R-16, a Resolution approving case number LU- 17-00186, Strawberry Hill Office Park Third Floor Addition Site Plan. Commissioner Suhaka seconded the motion. With Commissioners Cohen, Griffis, Hart, Sims, Suhaka, Urtz, and Chair Sutherland, voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; the motion was approved by a vote of seven (7) AYE and none (0) NAY. 5. UPDATES Derek Holcomb, Deputy Director of Community Development, gave the updates. 6. LONG RANGE AGENDA Michael Gradis, Planner II, gave an overview of the Annual Planning and Zoning Commission Tour, which will take place on September 13, 2017. 7.
