MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Regular City Council Meeting 7:00 PM Monday, May 3, 2021 A Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on this date virtually in Centennial, Colorado. Council Member Alston seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Turley, Council Member Alston, Council Member Holt, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Moon, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sweetland voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 0. Mayor Piko opened the Public Hearing, seeing no one wishing to speak, the Public Hearing was closed. Council Member Turley moved to Approve ORDINANCE NO. 2021-O-05 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO, AMENDING THE GAS AND ELECTRIC FRANCHISE GRANTED BY THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL TO PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF COLORADO AND AMENDING ARTICLE 5 OF CHAPTER 5 OF THE CENTENNIAL MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED “GAS FRANCHISE”. Council Member Sutherland seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Turley, Council Member Alston, Council Member Holt, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Moon, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sweetland voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 0. THE MOTION Passed. 12 Consideration of Resolutions (None) 13 Consideration of Other Items a Investment Grade Audit and Energy Performance Contract; 7:51 PM Wyatt Peterson, Senior Management Analyst, Tyler Brown and Jonathan Brown, CEG Solutions Investment Grade Auditors, and Jock Tuttle, CEO presented. Consensus was to move forward as presented. GENERAL BUSINESS 14 Other Matters as May Come Before Council; 8:34 PM Council Member Turley requested an amendment or repeal of the Trash Screening Ordinance. Council directed staff to return with more statistics regarding the topic via a written report. 15 Executive Session a Executive Session Pursuant to C.R.S. §24-6-402(4)(b) and (e) to Receive Legal Advice, Devise Negotiation Strategy, and Instruct Negotiators Concerning Potential Annexations along East Broncos Parkway between South Potomac Street and South Jordan Road b Executive Session Pursuant to C.R.S. §24-6-402(4)(b) and (e) to Receive Legal Advice, Devise Negotiation Strategy, and Instruct Negotiators Concerning Consideration of an Economic Development Incentive Request Council Member Turley moved to Enter an Executive Session C.R.S. §24-6-402(4)(b) and (e) to Receive Legal Advice, Devise Negotiation Strategy, and Instruct Negotiators Concerning Minutes – Regular City Council Meeting 5/3/2021 7:00:00 PM Page 4 Potential Annexations Along East Broncos Parkway between South Potomac Street and South Jordan Road and an Executive Session Pursuant to C.R.S §24-6-402(4)(b) and (e) to Receive Legal Advice, Devise Negotiation Strategy, and Instruct Negotiators Concerning Consideration of an Economic Development Incentive Request. Council Member Maurer seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Turley, Council Member Alston, Council Member Holt, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Moon, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sweetland voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 0.
