Present 10 - Chair James Bartow, Vice-Chair Brian Godfrey, Jodi Bakst, Devon Bass, Paul Bungard, Lawrence Daquioag, Michael E. Fox, Katherine Murphy, Joseph Parrish, and Daniel Hatley Absent 3 - Phillip Lyons, Carl Schuler, and Josephine Tetteh Secretary reads procedures into the record Approval of Agenda Announcements 1. Welcome to Newly Appointed Board Members: James Bartow, [18-0501] Paul Bungard, Larry Daquioag, Michael Fox and Daniel Hatley. Petitions Approval of Minutes 2. May 3, 2018 Minutes [18-0502] A motion was made by Vice-Chair Godfrey, seconded by Murphy, that these Minutes be approved with two amendments, 1) to correct the vote on the 104 Boxwood Variance item from 9Y-1N to 8Y-2N and 2) to remove staff names Page 1 of 3 Board of Adjustment Meeting Minutes June 7, 2018 that appeared as voting members. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. Old Business New Business 3. Appeal: 108 Mt Carmel Church Road (Project #18-045) - [18-0503] Planning Commission Decision Two members expressed concern about the reasons that the Planning Commission may have had to deny a time extension of the site plan. A motion was made by Murphy, seconded by Hatley, that Alternate Resollution B be approved, as amended, thereby overruling the Planning Commission's decision to deny a time extension of the site plan. The motion carried by the following vote: 8 Yes and 2 No. Aye: 8 - Chair Bartow, Vice-Chair Godfrey, Bakst, Bass, Fox, Murphy, Parrish, and Hatley Nay: 2 - Bungard, and Daquioag 4. Appeal: 108 Mt Carmel Church Road (Project #18-031) - Town [18-0504] Staff Decision Withdrawn by applicant 5. Dimensional Variance: 119 Battle Lane [18-0507] A motion was made by Bungard, seconded by Daquioag, to approve Alternative Resolution A, to approve the variance. The motion carried by unanimous vote. Aye: 10 - Chair Bartow, Vice-Chair Godfrey, Bakst, Bass, Bungard, Daquioag, Fox, Murphy, Parrish, and Hatley Adjournment Next Meeting - July 12, 2018 A motion was made by Vice-Chair Godfry, seconded by Parrish to adjourn the meeting. Should any member of the Body or any member of the public fail to observe this charge at any time, the Chair will ask the offending person to leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed.
