Present 6 - Chair Geoffrey Green, Vice-Chair Brian Godfrey, Thomas Grasty, Daniel Hatley, Andrew Strada, and Thomas Wortman Approval of Agenda A motion was made by Godfrey, seconded by Strada, to approve the agenda for the October 6, 2022 meeting. The motion carried by unanimous vote. Announcements No announcements. Petitions No petitions. Approval of Minutes Page 1 of 3 Board of Adjustment Meeting Minutes October 6, 2022 1. Draft Minutes for September 15, 2022 [22-0726] A motion was made by Wortman, seconded by Hatley, to approve the September 15 minutes. The motion carried by unanimous vote. New Business 2. New Member Recommendation [22-0727] The Board discussed Judith Miller's application to serve on the Board of Adjustment. A motion was made by Wortman, seconded by Godfrey, to recommend that the Town Council appoint Judith Miller to the Board of Adjustment. 3. 612 Hillsborough Street: Appeal of Notice of Violation for [22-0728] Off-Street Rental Parking in a Residential Zone Lagoo presented the case. Jeffrey Roether, counsel for the applicant, presented arguments and answered questions. Benjamain Edell testified on behalf of the applicant. Ann Anderson, counsel for the Town of Chapel Hill, presented arguments and answered questions. Gene Poveromo testified on behalf of the Town of Chapel Hill. Following deliberation among the Board, a motion was made by Wortman, seconded by Hatley, to adopt Resolution C, a resolution to uphold the staff decision to issue a notice of violation for off-street parking a residential zone. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4 - Vice-Chair Brian Godfrey, Thomas Grasty, Daniel Hatley, and Thomas Wortman Nay: 2 - Chair Geoffrey Green, and Andrew Strada Adjournment Next Meeting - November 3, 2022 Order of Consideration of Agenda Items: 1.
