January 23, 2018 draft minutes [18-0159] A motion was made by Vice-Chair Berndt, seconded by Davis, that this Discussion Item be approved as amended. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. Consent A motion was made by Van de Velde, seconded by Vice-Chair Berndt, that this be approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 2. AT & T Antenna, Piney Mountain Water Tower, 609 Piney [18-0160] Mountain Road, Building Elevations Page 1 of 5 Community Design Commission Meeting Minutes February 27, 2018 A motion was made by Van de Velde, seconded by Vice-Chair Berndt, that this Consent be approved the Consent Agenda. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. New Business Recommendation to Council 3 Application for Special Use Permit, Merritt Mill East, Multi-Family [18-0174] Development, 800 S. Merritt Mill Road (Project #17-082) A motion was made by Davis, seconded by Dancy, that this Discussion Item be . The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 3.1 Chapel Hill High School Special Use Permit [18-0173] They received a presentation from the applicant and continued to their next meeting. referredto the Community Design Commission due back on 3/15/2018 4. Wireless Communication Initiative: Master Plan and Ordinance [18-0162] This Discussion Item was approved as amended. 5. Final Plan: Wegmans, Building Elevations [18-0163] Referred to March 27 meeting. Special Wegmans meeting March 12. referredto the Community Design Commission due back on 3/15/2018 6. Wegmans, Site Lighting [18-0164] Continued to the March 27 meeting. referred to the Community Design Commission due back on 3/27/2018 7. The Cedars Healthcare, Building Elevations [18-0165] A motion was made by Davis, seconded by Dancy, that this Discussion Item be approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. Certificates of Appropriateness 9. Blue Hill Form District, Village Plaza Facade [18-0167] A motion was made by Van de Velde, seconded by Dancy, that this Discussion Item be approved. The motion carried by consensus. Commissioner Berndt voted against the motion. She wanted to receive additional information on the proposal for the Franklin Street facade, retention of the pass-thru, and improvements to the back of the building.
