Planning Commission Meeting Minutes November 2, 2021
A motion was made by Rees, seconded by Vice-Chair Baxter, that this be
approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.

A motion was made by Rees, seconded by Vice-Chair Baxter, that October
19, 2021 minutes be approved. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 8 - Chair Michael Everhart, Vice-Chair James Baxter, Neal
Bench, Elizabeth Losos, Jonathan Mitchell, John Rees,
Louie Rivers, and Stephen Whitlow
New Business
2. [21-0840]
The Planning Commission unanimously agreed to the following text:
The Planning Commission feels the Town needs to work to recruit and appoint more
diverse candidates as the current composition is heavily biased to males and only one
person of color.
As a starting point, the Town needs to have representation from a woman of color on
the Planning Commission.
A motion was made by Bench, seconded by Mitchell, that James Bartow be
recommended for approval. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 5 - Chair Michael Everhart, Neal Bench, Jonathan Mitchell,
John Rees, and Stephen Whitlow
Nay: 3 - Vice-Chair James Baxter, Elizabeth Losos, and Louie
Rivers
3. Election of Officers
A motion was made by Bench, seconded by Losos, that Michael Everheart
remain as Chair and James Baxter remain as Vice-Chair was approved. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 8 - Chair Michael Everhart, Vice-Chair James Baxter, Neal
Bench, Elizabeth Losos, Jonathan Mitchell, John Rees,
Louie Rivers, and Stephen Whitlow
