Strother Murray-ndinga, Theodore Nollert, and Erik Valera Page 1 of 3 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes September 5, 2023 Absent 1 - Louie Rivers Secretary reads procedures into the record Approval of Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was carried by a unanimous vote. Announcements Petitions Approval of Minutes 1. June 20th, 2023 Meeting Minutes [23-0625] A motion was by Wesley Mcmahon, seconded by Stother Murray-ndinga to approve the June 20, 2023 Meeting Minutes. The motion was carried by a 8-0 vote. Old Business New Business 2. 2200 Homestead Road - Modification to Conditional Zoning [23-0626] District Wesley Mcmahon made a motion, seconded by Strother Murray-ndinga, to recommend approval of Ordinance A. The motion passed 8-0. Wesley Mcmahon made a motion, seconded by Strother Murray-ndinga, to recommend approval of Resolution A. The motion passed 8-0. 3. 157 East Rosemary CZD [23-0627] Elizabeth Losos made a motion, seconded by Stother Murray-ndinga, to recommend approval of Ordinance A with the attached matrix and special attention paid to the buffer issues with the northern neighbors. The motion passed 8-0. Wesley Mcmahon made a motion, seconded by Geoffrey Green, to recommend approval of Resolution A. The motion passed 7-1. Jon Mitchell opposed. Planning Commission Chair and Vice-Chair Elections Jon Mitchell nominated Elizabeth Losos to the position of Planning Commission Chair and Wesley Mcmahon to the position of Planning Commission Vice Chair. Page 2 of 3 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes September 5, 2023 Theodore Nollert made a motion, seconded by Geoffrey Green, to appoint the nominees to Chair and Vice Chair. The motion passed 8-0. Reports Adjournment Next Meeting - September 19, 2023 Order of Consideration of Agenda Items: 1. Staff Presentation 2. Applicant’s Presentation 3. Public Comment 4. Board Discussion 5. Motion 6. Restatement of Motion by Chair 7. Vote 8. Announcement of Vote by Chair Public Charge: The Advisory Body pledges its respect to the public. The Body asks the public to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both with the Body and with fellow members of the public. Should any member of the Body or any member of the public fail to observe this charge at any time, the Chair will ask the offending person to leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed.
