Cheraw Board of Architectural Review Minutes Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 5:30 pm 1. Call to Order Minutes: Corina Esaw called meeting to order at 5:32pm. Members Present: Corina Esaw (via phone), Susan Robertson (via phone) and Van Pate. Others present: Sophia Turner and Hayes Mclendon. 2. Approval of Minutes from March 2, 2026 Board of Architectural Review Meeting Minutes: Van made a motion to approve the minutes from March 2026. Susan seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. 3. New Business a. 515 Kershaw Street Minutes: An update on the previously approved demolition was presented by Sophia Tuner and Vance Harrington (property owner). The construction plans for the new residential building were presented and discussed. Corina made a motion to approve the construction plans for the new build. Van provided the second and the motion passed unanimously. b. 105 Third Street Minutes: Sophia Turner presented the information regarding the request to covert garage to dwelling unit. The property owner and contractor were present and provided additional information on the structure's current dilapidated condition. Susan made a motion to approve the request. Corina provided the second and the motion passed unanimously. c. 320 Market Street Minutes: Sophia Turner presented the information regarding the request to remove the single dormer of the residential building. The owners were present and provided additional information on the dormer's rotting/unstable condition. Corina made  a motion to approve the request. Susan provided the second and the motion passed unanimously. d. 156 Market Street Minutes: Sophia Tuner presented the information regarding the request to install a mounted sign and window applied signs. After discussion Susan made a motion to approve the request. Corina provided the second and the motion passed unanimously. 4. Public Comments 5.
