Cheraw Town Council Planning Retreat

Cheraw Town Council Planning Retreat Minutes Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 5:00 pm 1. Call to Order Minutes: Council members: Jerry Tucker, Cherryl Melton, Jim Crawford, Tom Boan, Amy Gavin, and Robert Williams were present. Mayor Byrd, Jon Pierce, Ph.D., Patti Norris, Brian Rogers, Doug Stowe, Marvin Murray, Julius Riley, Ken Mason, Debbie Hunter , Patricia Dixon and Bennie Miles (The Link) were also present. Mayor Byrd called the meeting to order at 5pm. 2. Planning Discussion Between Town Council & Department Heads Minutes: The department heads briefly discussed their department's progress on their 2025-2026 goals and identified their goals for 2026-2027. Progress was noted relative to many of the 2025-2026 goals and projects. The Mayor and Council members were given the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification as the reports were being made. 3. Adjourn Minutes: Councilman Boan made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilwoman Gavin seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.
