Other Reports: CONCERNS AND COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE: CORRESPONDENCE (in order of date received): 1. 10/9/2023 – DNR – burning permits start at 5pm due to daylight hours lessening- see chairman’s folder. 2. 10/12/2023 - Combined insurance – Greg & Michael – talk about benefits for employees. 3. 10/13/2023 – MN Dept of Health – checked cc water – no coliform found – see letter in chairman’s folder OLD BUSINESS: 1. No longer required to re-establish polling locations annually – now, only if you change your polling place must you re-establish your polling place – see handout NEW BUSINESS: 1. Work Priority Sheets are in the packets. 2. Flat fee to offer Zumba, Silver Sneakers or Yoga at the cc? Would Balkan pay the instructor for once-a-week class? It should be about $50 flat fee. 3. PERA – one employee has hit PERA eligibility – Balkan will be invoiced – letter to employees in their checks this week – discussion. 4. Earned sick and safe time (ESST) starts Jan 1st, 2024 – employee can earn up to 48 hours per year – 1 hour of ESST for every 30 hours worked – Part timers are included – payable at current wage – Notice to employees Jan 1st - see handout. 5. Newsletter – Can we include residents’ weddings, births and anniversaries in the newsletter? With permission? UPCOMING MEETINGS/EVENTS: 1.
