INVOCATION/MOMENT OF SILENCE
Mayor Perdock led a moment of silence.
AGENDA APPROVAL, ADDITIONS AND/OR DELETIONS
There were no changes to the agenda.
ACTION: It was moved by Vice Mayor Fortino Dickson and seconded by Councilmember Overton
to approve the agenda. The motion passed with a unanimous voice vote, with Councilmembers
Bennett and Sabatier absent.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Bill Shields commented on the value of remembering veterans on Memorial Day.
Consent Items Recommended Action
1. Warrant Registers Receive and file
2. Minutes of May 12, May 19, and May 26, 2016 Receive and file
3. Consideration of Reviewing the Conflict-of- Authorize the City Manager to review the
Interest Code Conflict-of-Interest Code
ACTION: It was moved by Vice Mayor Fortino Dickson and seconded by Councilmember Overton
to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. The motion passed with a unanimous voice vote,
with Councilmembers Bennett and Sabatier absent.
PUBLIC HEARING
4. Presentation and Closeout of Planning and Technical Assistance Grant (PTA) as required by the
Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD)
City Manager Folsom, Interim City Engineer Clemans and Grants Technician Brown gave the staff
report.
Mayor Perdock opened the Public Hearing at 6:13 p.m.
There was no public comment.
ACTION: It was moved by Councilmember Overton and seconded by Vice Mayor Fortino Dickson
to close the Public Hearing. The motion passed with a unanimous roll call vote at 6:13 p.m., with
Councilmembers Bennett and Sabatier absent.

ACTION: It was moved by Councilmember Overton and seconded by Vice Mayor Fortino Dickson
to authorize closeout of the Planning and Technical Assistance Grant (PTA) as required by the
Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). The motion passed with a
unanimous roll call vote, with Councilmembers Bennett and Sabatier absent.
BUSINESS
5. Continuation of Consideration of Adoption of Ordinance No. 189-2016, An Ordinance of the City
Council of the City of Clearlake Adding Chapter 3-7 to the Clearlake Municipal Code Related to a
Transactions and Use Tax to Be Administered by the State Board of Equalization
City Manager Folsom gave the staff report.
ACTION: It was moved by Vice Mayor Fortino Dickson and seconded by Councilmember Overton
to continue item #5 to the June 23, 2016 Council meeting. The motion passed with a unanimous
voice vote, with Councilmembers Bennett and Sabatier absent.
6. Consideration of Rejection of Bids for the Highlands Park Visitor Center Stucco Repairs
City Manager Folsom gave the staff report.
ACTION: It was moved by Councilmember Overton and seconded by Vice Mayor Fortino Dickson
to reject all bids for the Highlands Park Visitor Center Stucco Repairs. The motion passed with a
unanimous voice vote, with Councilmembers Bennett and Sabatier absent.
CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBER REPORTS
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
ACTION: Mayor Perdock asked for and received consensus to direct the Planning Commission to
review an ordinance regulating vacation rentals.
ACTION: Vice Mayor Fortino Dickson asked for and received consensus to direct staff to develop
regulations for street corner vendors and peddlers for future consideration by the Council.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business of the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 6:33 p.m.
