CITY OF CLEVELAND BEER BOARD MINUTES September 8, 2015 BE IT REMEMBERED THAT the City of Cleveland Beer Board held their monthly meeting on September 8, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cleveland Municipal Building. Present and presiding was Joe Kirkpatrick. Also present were board members Mark Smith, Bill Hobbs, Ellie St. Pierre and Donald Humes. Others in attendance according to the sign-in sheet were Christy Bryant, Beer Board Secretary, Eric and Mitchell Cochran with Food City and City Attorney John Kimball. Mark Smith moved to accept the minutes of the regular session held on August 11, 2015 and approved them as written. The motion was seconded by Donald Humes; and upon roll call, unanimously passed. K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. will be operating Food City #712 located at 255 Ocoee Crossing. They have met all of the requirements of the Beer Permit application. Upon review of the application Mark Smith moved that the permit be approved. The motion was seconded by Bill Hobbs; and upon roll call, unanimously passed. K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. will be operating Food City #743 located at 2310 McGrady Drive. They have met all of the requirements of the Beer Permit application. Upon review of the application Mark Smith moved that the permit be approved. The motion was seconded by Ellie St. Pierre; and upon roll call, unanimously passed. Chairman Kirkpatrick reminded the applicant to properly check ID’s before allowing the sale of alcohol. The Board discussed with City Attorney John Kimball the possibility of using a consent agenda for new beer permit applications that meet the requirements so they can be approved under one motion. They were in agreement to begin using a consent agenda for new beer permit applications. Any other business would be listed under Other Business on the agenda. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
