MINUTES June Regular Board Meeting Village Office, June 11th, 2025 5:30 p.m. – 6:02 p.m. Regular Village Board meeting for the Village of Cobb was called to order at 5:30 pm by President Liz Lenz. Members Attending: President – Liz Lenz, Trustees – Kris Schoville, Marlin Harms, Renee Linscheid, Alisha Martin, Nick Klaas, and Alaina Benton Members Absent: none Staff Present: Village Clerk – Carley Rider, Public Works Director – Mark Flanagan Public Present: Chris Hugill Public Notices: MOTION (Linscheid, Klaas): motion carried by unanimous voice vote to approve posting of agenda at the following four places: Cobb Post Office, Cobb Food Mart, Royal Bank, and the Village Office on Monday, June 9th, and compliance of the open meeting law. Pledge of Allegiance Minutes: MOTION (Klaas, Martin): a motion carried by unanimous voice vote to approve the Regular Village board meeting May 14th, 2025 minutes. Treasurer’s Report: Carley Reported that June’s report will reflect the change to Pooled Checking. MOTION (Linscheid, Schoville): a motion carried by unanimous voice vote to approve the May 2025 Treasurer’s reports. COMMITTEE & COMISSION REPORTS Library Board – Alaina Benton reported that the library has a full schedule of events this summer. Pest detectives will be coming to the library. Cobb-Highland Recreation Commission – Carley noted that the meeting was postponed to the following Wednesday due to not having a quorum. Fire District Board – no discussion occurred. Splash Pad Committee – Renee reported that Christi Kennicker will be stepping down as the Chair and Megan Walter will be replacing her as Chair. Christi intends to stay on the Splash Pad Committee. The Splash Pad Committee is planning to meet on a quarterly basis. Poles for the shade structure were being prepped to be installed and are the committee is hopeful they will be installed prior to the 4th of July. UNFINISHED BUSINESS New 2-Year Operator License for Charlesa Gerhart (Ends June 30, 2027)- MOTION (Klaas, Martin); motion carried by unanimous vote to approve a New 2 Year Operator License for Charlesa Gerhart. NEW BUSINESS Community Center- MOTION (Schoville, Benton); motion carried by unanimous voice vote to approve the allow the Community Center to serve as a alternate location for the Jim Piquette Scholarship Fundraiser on Friday August 22nd, 2025. Direct Deposit for Employees MOTION (Linscheid, Klaas); motion carried by 7-0 roll call vote (Benton – Aye, Linscheid – Aye, Schoville – Aye, Martin – Aye, Harms – Aye, Klaas – Aye, Lenz – Aye) to require direct deposit as a term of employment. Pay Periods- MOTION (Klaas, Benton); motion carried by 7-0 roll call vote (Benton – Aye, Linscheid – Aye, Schoville – Aye, Martin – Aye, Harms – Aye, Klaas – Aye, Lenz – Aye) for pay periods to remain Bi-weekly from Wednesday to Tuesday and pay day to be the Friday following. Resolution 2025-02 eCMAR MOTION (Lenz, Harms); motion carried by 7-0 roll call vote (Benton – Aye, Linscheid – Aye, Schoville – Aye, Martin – Aye, Harms – Aye, Klaas – Aye, Lenz – Aye) to approve Resolution 2025-02. 2024 Consumer Confidence Report- Mark reported the Village of Cobb’s grades for the Consumer Confidence Report.
