MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ETHICS OF THE CITY OF COHOES HELD ON MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2020 IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL Members Present: Charles Valenti, Chairperson Deborah Gilchrist, Member David Emanatian, Membef Erin Roditis, Alternate Member The meeting was called to order at 6:44 p.m. The minutes of the August 10, 2020 meeting of the Board were approved unanimously. The Board agreed unanimously to go into executive session to discuss matters which may lead to the demotion, discipline, suspension ,dismissal, or removal of a particular person at 6:47 p.m. The Board agreed unanimously to exit executive session at 7:23 p.m. Items considered: 1.Complaint No. 20-5—After considering the testimony of the Complainant and the Subject, as well as considering the documentation pertaining to the Complaint, the Board determined that there was a violation of the Code of Ethics and recommended appropriate administrative actions. Complaint No. 20-6—After considering the testimony of the Complainant and considering the documentation pertaining to the Complaint, the Board determined that the Complaint was unfounded. It was noted that the practice which was the subject of the Complaint was no longer permitted. Concur: Charles Valenti, Chairperon; Deborah Gilchrist, Member Oppose: David Emanatian, Member 3. Complaint No. 20-7—The Board tabled the Complaint in order to give the Complainant another opportunity to discuss the Complaint with the Board. The meeting was adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
