MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ETHICS OF THE CITY OF COHOES HELD ON MONDAY,SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL Members Present: Charles Valenti, Chairperson Deborah Gilchrist, Member David Emanatian, Member Member Excused: Erin Roditis Also Present: Complainant of Complaint No.20-7 and Complaint No. 20-8 The meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m. Items discussed: 1. Theminutes of the August 31, 2020 meeting of the Board were approved by a unanimous vote. 2 Complaint No.20-7 was discussed by the Board and the Complainant and was tabled for furtherstudy. 3. Complaint No.20-8 was discussed by the Board and the Complainant. The Board reviewed a legal opinion by the Corporation Counsel that stated that the organization that was involved in the Complaint was not subject to the Cohoes Code of Ethics. Based upon the legal opinion of the Corporation Counsel, the Board decided by a unanimous vote not to pursue the matter. The Board recommended to the Complainant to address the matter with the organization pursuant to its Conflict of Interest regulations. The meeting was adjourned at; 7:09p.m.
