MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ETHICS OF THE CITY OF COHOES HELD ON MONDAY, JULY 31, 2023 IN THE LOBBY OF CITY HALL Members Present: Charles Valenti, Chairperson Deborah Gilchrist, Member Melody Nadeau, Alternate Member Member Excused: David Emanatian, Member Also Present: Complainant for Complaint No. 23-4 The meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m. Items Discussed: 1. Minutes of the June 26, 2023 of the Board were approved by a unanimous vote. 2. Complaint No. 23=3—The Chairperson informed that Board that the Complainant requested additional time to submit documentation in support of the Complaint. The Board tabled Complaint No. 23-3 by a unanimous vote. 3. Complainant No. 23-4—The Board of Ethics investigated issues concerning Complaint 23-4 and noted that the Subject of the Complaint did not use his municipal position to secure a financial or material benefit for himself in violation of Section 36-4 of the Code of Ethics of the City of Cohoes. Therefore the Board determined that Complaint No. 23-4 was unfounded by a unanimous vote. The date of the next meeting of the Board of Ethics will be determined in the near future. The meeting was adjourned at 7:01 p.m.
