MINUTES OF THE COHOES PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD ON MAY 8, 2017 AT 6:30 P.M. IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL MEMBERS PRESENT: Vice Chairman Jack Carroll Chairman Mark DeFruscio Mr. Bob Bucher Mr. Joseph Nadeau ABSENT: Ms. Stephanie Couture ALSO PRESENT: Melissa Cherubino, Director of Building and Planning CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES FROM THE APRIL 10th, 2017 MEETING Chairman DeFruscio opened the meeting at 6:30pm and asked the recording secretary to take roll call. Member Nadeau moved to approve the minutes. Vice Chairman Carroll seconded the motion which passed unanimously. YES NO Bob Bucher X Joseph Nadeau X Mark DeFruscio X Jack Carroll X Stephanie Couture ABSENT CONSIDERATION OF A SUVBDIVISION AT 24 LEVERSEE AVENUE Fred Metzger represented Anthony LePage in his request for a subdivision of property at 24 Leversee Avenue where he has constructed a duplex. The purpose of the subdivision is to sell off each unit as a single family home. Mr. LePage waited until after construction in order to ensure proper location of the party wall. As a result, Member Nadeau moved to approve the lot line adjustment. Vice Chairman Carroll seconded the motion which passed unanimously. YES NO Bob Bucher X Joseph Nadeau X Mark DeFruscio X Jack Carroll X Stephanie Couture ABSENT CONSIDERATION OF A POOL AT 35 ROOSEVELT BLVD The applicant proposed installing a 16X32’ inground pool in his backyard. The yard is 120’ wide. Since submitting the initial drawing the applicant changed the proposed location. However the new location still meets setbacks at 15’ from side; 20’ from rear; and over 80’ from the other side. As a result, Vice Chairman Carroll moved to approve the pool conditioned on submission of a new plan reflecting the actual location. Member Nadeau seconded the motion which passed unanimously. YES NO Bob Bucher X Joseph Nadeau X Mark DeFruscio X Jack Carroll X Stephanie Couture ABSENT CONSIDERATION OF A POOL AT 124 CONTINENTAL AVE The applicant submitted an application to install an 18’ above ground round pool at 124 Continental Avenue. The pool will setback 15’ from both sides and the rear property line. Should the walls fail water will flow 50’ to the 3rd base dugout of a City softball field. Vice Chairman Carroll moved to approve the application. Member Bucher seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
