Angel Frangos Arrived at 7:22 p.m. Also Present: Antoinette Battle, Regional Manager; Kathleen Reardon, Assistant Facility Director; Ryna Quinones, Communications Director; Gabi Wurtzel, Event Coordinator; Joi Woods, Contract Secretary I. Call to Order Meeting was called to order by Jane Hopkins at 7:05 p.m. II. Review and Approval of Agenda Jane Hopkins motioned to approve the agenda. All were in favor. None were opposed. The motion passed. III. Review and Approval of March 8, 2021 Minutes Barbara Pianowski to approve the March 8, 2021 Minutes. All were in favor. None were opposed. The motion passed. IV. New Member Welcome New Member Lindsay Dively, introduced herself to the Board. Jane Hopkins, Gabi Wurtzel, and Ryna Quinones shared background information about the Recreation Board and details about the current focus of the board. V. Election of Chair Electing a new chair and/or co-chair was postponed to allow opportunity to recruit additional members for the board and allow time for consideration from current members. VI. Proposed Updated Mission and Name Change The Board reviewed and discussed the draft document about the changing role and mission of the Recreation Board.  Intentional language that reflects College Park residents as a primary targeted audience for city events was noted during discussion.  Name change- City Events Advisory Board 1  Gabi Wurtzel will make additional revisions to the mission statement draft for additional review and formal vote from the board. Jane Hopkins motioned to approve the name change of the College Park Recreation Board to the City Events Advisory Board. All were in favor. None were opposed. The motion passed. VII. Spring Event- Scavenger Hunt, Saturday, May 22, 2021 11 am – 2 pm The Board reviewed and discussed the spring scavenger hunt to feature (10) College Park landmarks and locations highlighting city history and locations throughout each district.  Some of the noted locations included: o College Park Aviation Museum o Old Parish House o Location of the new City Hall o Lakeland Community o Lake Artemesia o Rosborough Inn o Hollywood Park  Scavenger Hunt apps and Scavenger Hunt Clue Sheets  Give-a-ways  Food- Grab-and-Go items and non-food give-a-ways VIII.
