The City of Columbia City In Columbia County on the Columbia River Hazard Mitigation Planning Group Meeting Minutes – April 25, 2016 - 6:00 p.m. City Hall, 1840 Second Street Columbia City, Oregon 97018 Members Present: Kelly Niles, ODF/Group Leader Dan McGraw, Citizen Member Frank Hupp, Citizen Member Michael McGlothlin, Chief of Police Steve Pegram, Director Columbia County Emergency Management Anne Parrott, The Public Health Foundation of Columbia County Brian Poole, Dyno Nobel Representative Meeting called to order at 6:03 pm Topics: Minutes approved from the January 25, 2016 Planning Group meeting. So moved by Anne Parrott, Seconded by Frank Hupp, and approved unanimously. Discussion took place regarding the planning for the 2016 Prepare Fair was conducted. The following topics were discussed: 1. Confirmation of attendees: St. Helens CERT, ARES, MRC, Columbia 911, Columbia City Staff. Contacts and confirmation to complete: Local animal service providers, CEPA, outside vendors, raffle items. 2. Discussion took place in regards to drawing attention to Prepare Fair during day of event: Pre-planned announcements, raffles, and giveaway/educational materials. 3. Dyno Nobel commitment for banner, promotional materials, and logistical supplies. 1 Brian Poole led briefing and update regarding personnel, community outreach plans, organizational efforts, business processes, and regulatory requirements. Brian also updated the planning group on future plans for enhanced monitoring of the plant site. No items were discussed relating to “other business”. Next meeting scheduled for Monday July 25, 2016 at 6:00 pm in Columbia City Council Chambers. Adjourned at 6:58 pm. 2
