The City of Columbia City In Columbia County on the Columbia River Hazard Mitigation Planning Group Meeting Minutes – July 25, 2016 - 6:00 p.m. City Hall, 1840 Second Street Columbia City, Oregon 97018 Members Present: Gary Hudson, Citizen Member Dan McGraw, Citizen Member Frank Hupp, Citizen Member Michael McGlothlin, Chief of Police Steve Pegram, Director Columbia County Emergency Management Anne Parrott, The Public Health Foundation of Columbia County Meeting called to order at 6:04 pm Topics: Minutes approved from the April 25, 2016 Planning Group meeting. So moved by Frank Hupp, Seconded by Dan McGraw, and approved unanimously. Discussion took place regarding final plans and coordination needed for the 2016 Prepare Fair. The following topics were discussed: 1. Confirmation of attendees: St. Helens CERT, ARES, MRC, Columbia 911, Columbia County Emergency Management, and Columbia City Staff. Contacts and confirmation to complete: Local animal service providers, CEPA, donation/raffle items. 2. Anne Parrott briefed on emergency preparedness backpack kits which she received via the Ford Foundation to be used as donation/raffle items. 10 total units received, which were packed as two-person multi-day survival kits. 3. Participants to provide logistical support requests to Chief McGlothlin. . 1 During “Other Business”; planning group members discussed recent community outreach and educational efforts being conducted by Dyno Nobel. Next meeting scheduled for Monday September 26, 2016 at 6:00 pm in Columbia City Council Chambers. Adjourned at 6:32 pm. 2
