Call To Order/Roll Call Present 8 - Debra Bullock, Crystal Elliott, Ed Hanson, Francine Crusan-Garcia, Heidi McNeely, Jacob Wilson, Jadie Carson, and Susan Carabajal Absent 3 - Brian Connor, Brian Draxten, and David Soucie 2. Guest Presentation The Public Art Collective gave a presentation about their Donation Proposal and their area of work in creating murals. 3. Approval of Minutes This was approved 4. Financial Update 5. Outside hours document 6. Membership Letter to Jackie Maldonado has been sent out Dee has resigned due to health issues. 7. Old Business o Memorial Day Parade Wrap-up o Lessons learned/Suggestions for 2018  Not enough fans perhaps use a wagon to carry materials for next year or take canvass bags Drive bigger vehicle? Mayor has a trailer for consideration for next year Certificate of Participation was given from the parade committee o Neighborhood Outreach Wrap-up o Lessons learned/Suggestions for August Outreach  big success rock painting was a big hit! We should do it again for outreach in August need separate table for activities Deb will send thank you/certificate letter to Jadies' grand-daughter There are still fans remaining FFunkphino was good- should be on top our list for MitP next year placement of table was too far Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes June 13, 2017 placement of posters should be better put for audience to see glue materials down to table so wind won't blow them away o Music in the Park  Park Permits- everything was sorted out with Southlawn park permit o Sponsorship/ Partnership updates  No new updates o Band updates  No new updates o Food vendor updates  No new updates o Flyers/Posters/Signs  Banners have gone up around the city in their designated frames. Heidi has lawn signs and the big banners that need to go up in both parks. o Other advertising o Review and approve Survey  Daniela will print out surveys per previous feedback o MitP maps  Site set-up maps were reviewed and were OK’d by committee, and board members o 5th concert – Crash Daddeez motion by Heidi to not do it second motion Jacob Amendment by Susan that we vote by email no more than 1 week after we receive info $2000 needed from our financials + sound and stage = $3,500 Susan will check for stage/sound availability tomorrow and financials Ed will ask David for Financials to be emailed within 24hrs o Swallow Hill poor communication, will not move forward with Swallow Hill for this year. o Other items?  Public Art Update from Deana • 3 important things to highlight: in need of a CCCC rep for Fronterra park, Jerry Jaramillo material change report, and 3 art selection applications attached for approval. o Derby  No update on the project 8.
