Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting called to order at 6:03 p.m. Present: Jose Guardiola, Ronna Sanchez, Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Samantha Hunt, Abe Ramirez, Angela Ramirez, Lucy Molina, Craig Hurst Absent: Johni Grabinski 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes 05/12/2020 Attachments: Minutes Sanchez motioned to approved with said edits. Seconded by Councilman Guardiola. Motion was approved. 3. Financial Report No new updates. 4. Volunteer Hours Staff will resend the link. 5. Committee Reports and Discussion PUBLIC ART/ART SHOWS RTD Public Art Presentation is rescheduled for July 14 Cultural Council meeting and July 20 City Council meeting. Adult Art Show Angela Ramirez is still waiting to hear back from Anythink.Board is shooting to have event late September/early October on a Saturday afternoon. The event will be called “Commerce City Art Show” for adult artists that live in Commerce City. Event will host a reception and then display artwork for a month. If it doesn't work out with Anything we will try to plan to have it at the Civic Center. Angela Ramirez will send staff some of her original artwork to use for a flyer. Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes June 9, 2020 Other Commerce City Eats- this year instead of asking restaurants to give a percentage off we can support restaurants in a different way. Abe Ramirez and Councilman Guardiola will meet to talk details. MUSIC IN THE PARK Tunisia will shoot their own video; Larry Lobato- Abe will help shoot video; Ricardo Pena will shoot his own video; Dustin Divine- Abe will help shoot video. Staff will look into doing a Facebook watch party or can do it via YouTube. SOCIAL MEDIA Public Art postings have helped page interactions by +300% 6. New Business Public Art Webpage is live and Hunt-Duran will help promote it on social media. Tunnel Mural Project- members would like to see Adams City High School students involved in the project.
