Call To Order/Roll Call Present: Abe Ramirez, Angela Ramirez, Ronna Sanchez, Samantha Hunt, Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Councilman Hurst, Johni Grabinski Absent: Lucy Molina, Councilman GUardiola 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes 06/09/2020 Attachments: Minutes Motion to approve by Duran. Seconded by Councilman Hurst. Motion unanimously approved. 3. Financial Report Board member Riggs-Gonzales reported out the financials for the month. 4. Committee Reports and Discussion PUBLIC ART/ART SHOWS RTD Public Art Presentation Staff presented to the board the proposed art project for the new RTD light-rail station at 72nd and Colorado. Motion to approve recommended art proposed by the art committee by board member Sanchez. Seconded by Angela Ramirez. Unanimously approved. Public Art Maintenance Will be voted on formally next month. Adult Art Show Board member Angela Ramirez shared artwork to be used for event flyer. Members decided on which to use for flyer. Other No other business MUSIC IN THE PARK First concert happened 7/9 Board member Abe Ramirez requested that events on Facebook change timing from 6-8 to 6-7 p.m. Banners for this event will be postponed for next year. Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes July 14, 2020 SOCIAL MEDIA Board member Hunt-Duran reported out numbers of engagement on Facebook. With music in the park likes/engagements/views have gone up. Once concerts are over she will schedule public art photos periodically. 5. New Business Commerce City Eats updates Councilman Guardiola is out of town. Board member Abe Ramirez committed to bringing back more updates in August meeting. Councilman Hurst added that the city is having a larger discussion around this. Staff will try to know more. 6. Member Comments/Announcements None 7.
