Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting was called to order at 6:04 p.m. Present: Councilman Jose Guardiola, Councilman Craig Hurst, Abe Ramirez, Angela Ramirez, Ronna Sanchez, Samantha Hunt-Duran, Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Sandra Escobar, Johni Grabinski 2. Regular Business Items Member Riggs-Gonzales gave an update on the financials. Members were reminded to complete outside ours. Approval of Minutes Minutes 02/09/2021 Attachments: Minutes Motion to approve meeting minutes by member Hunt-Duran. Seconded by member Ramirez. Motion was approved. 3. New Business o Art exhibition Members reviewed and approved one new art exhibition submission. Members will do some promotion on the current exhibition at the recreation centers before looking into switching out the exhibition. o Music in the Park Member Ramirez has confirmed all 4 bands for each of the concerts. Staff is working with the city's Parks and Recreation department to coordinate locations and COVID-19 restrictions. Staff will report out locations once they've been confirmed. Members agreed to edit the sponsorship levels document to accommodate for COVID-19 restrictions during the concerts. Staff will send out a final draft to start sponsorship asks. 4. Committee updates and Discussion Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes March 9, 2021 o Fundraising and Grants (Ronna, Johni) Member Sanchez has submitted grants. o Social Media/Marketing (Craig, Sam) Member Hunt-Duran reported out latest social media statistics. Currently, numbers have been lower than normal but overall are at a good place. o Commerce City Eats (Jose, Abe, Sandra, Jacqueline) Council Guardiola will be reaching out to the rest of the committee to schedule a meeting. 5. Member Comments/Announcements Councilman Craig Hurst advocated for members to become more involved with the city's future. He also reported out a new staging venue that will potentially be a location for future events and activities. 6. Adjourn Meeting was adjourned at 7:08 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
