Call to Order Chair Ramirez called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. via Zoom. Present 5 - Board Member Angela Ramirez, Board Member Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Board Member Jennifer Martin, Board Member Kelly Reyos, and Board Member Ronna Sanchez Absent 2 - Kristi Douglas, and Craig Hurst 2. New Introductions The new staff liaison, Jenny Penoncello, and new Board members, Ana Munoz, Diana Munoz and Jill Rittersbacher, introduced themselves. 3. Guest Speaker Carol Boyd from the Senior Commission invited the Cultural Council to participate in the upcoming Senior Resource Fair. 4. Approval of Minutes Min 22-90 Minutes of the April 12, 2022 Meeting Board member Sanchez motioned to approve the minutes of the April 12, 2021 meeting. Board member Martin seconded the motion which passed unanimously. 5. Regular Business Question to the Council The Board members discussed the ice breaker question. Financial and Grant Update Board member Riggs-Gonzales provided a financial update, and Board member Sanchez provided a grants update. Committee Reports and Discussion Public Art Show Board member Martin provided an update on the Recreation Center Art Shows. She shared the art submitted for display, and the Board discussed next steps and a celebratory reception. Social Media and Marketing Board member Martin provided a social media update, which included sharing the new Cultural Council flyer, social media strategy and that the twitter account is now accessible. Commerce City Eats Chair Ramirez stated he would send an email to ask for other Board member volunteers to be on the Commerce City Eats subcommittee. Music in the Park Chair Ramirez provided an update. He stated the band and staging is booked, and he is working with the Parks, Recreation and Golf Department to schedule food trucks. 7. New Business Chair Ramirez discussed the Memorial Day Parade. It was determined a tractor and trailer would be used, and Board members would walk alongside distributing necklaces and candy. Board member Sanchez shared she is presenting to a school about the Cultural Council. She asked what promotional items the Council has to distribute. The Board discussed the types of items that they would like to order in the future. Staff will report back with options at the next meeting. Returning to in-person meetings was discussed. The Board determined this would be discussed further at the next meeting. 8.
