New Business Pres 19-55 Show Cause Hearing for the Revocation and Nonrenewal of the tavern license of Cheddar Please! Entertainment LLC dba Hard Times located at 6771 E 80th Ave Hearing Officer Ablao opened the public hearing. Appearing: Daniel Leffler, on behalf of the applicant Ruthanne Goff, on behalf of the city Officer Andrew Cross, on behalf of the city Greg Sadar, on behalf of the city Officer Cross testified to his role within the city and his role and interactions on the night of the incident at the Hard Times. Commander Sadar testified to his experience, role within the city and his role and Commerce City Page 1 Liquor License Authority Meeting Minutes - Final February 1, 2019 interactions on the night of the incident, as well as reports made concerning the incident. Leffler testified to the violation that occurred, bar policy, employess, patrons, previous violations and his opposition to the revocation of the liquor license. Hearing Officer Ablao questioned Leffler about actions taken after the violation. Attorney Goff questioned Leffler about previous violations, training and backgrounding methods, as well as usual patrons and their behavior. Hearing Officer Ablao questions Leffler about TIPS training for his existing employees and plans to close the bar. Attorney Goff made closing statements. Leffler made closing statements. Hearing Officer Ablao found that the violation did occur and that the license be suspended for 30 days with 60 days held in abeyance, on the condition that there are no violations within the next year and that all employees become TIPS certified within 30 days. An additional 20 days will be served with credit for time already served from summary suspension, being able to open on Feb 22, 2019. 4. Adjourn Hearing Officer Ablao adjourned the meeting.
