Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Brendan Binns, Bruce Emery, Aaron Franek, Brent Loomis, Justin Maillet, Bret Walker, Jacob Wilson Absent: Dana Bond, Jadie Carson, Steve Douglas Staff Members Present: Carolyn Keith, Karen O'Donnell, Paul Hebinck, Amy Hendricks 2. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Loomis to approve the January 17, 2017 minutes as submitted. The motion was seconded by Member Franek. The minutes were approved unanimously. Unfinished Business 16-57 New & existing recreation centers (Facility Naming process and timeline) Attachments: PRESENTATION 10-18-16 YOUR HUB ARTICLE Recreation Manager, Karen O'Donnell gave an update on the naming contest and the number of submissions received. A drop box for naming submissions was placed at Buffalo Run Golf Course. An article published on YourHub dated February 15, 2017, that highlighted the naming contest was distributed to members (attached). This Administrative Business was continued 17-22 Membership Update - Welcome Brenda Binns and Jacob Wilson The new committee members were introduced and welcomed. This Administrative Business was discussed and closed 4 New Business Commerce City Page 1 Parks, Recreation, and Golf Meeting Minutes - Final February 21, 2017 Advisory Committee 17-23 Buffalo Run - golf programming presentation Attachments: GOLF PROGRAMMING PRESENTATION Golf Course Manager, Paul Hebinck gave a slide show presentation of the programs offered at Buffalo Run Golf Course (attached). Golf Course Manager Hebinck discussed factors that affect participation. Members discussed options that would attract participation. Golf Manager Hebinck will discuss these ideas with golf staff and provide an update at the June 20 meeting. This Administrative Business was continued 5 Future Meeting Topics - PRG Fees/Charges - March 21; admission fees for recreation facilities and Paradice Island at Pioneer Park - Recreation Center Naming - April 18 (extended meeting time) - Parks, Trails and Open Space Overview - May 16 - Service Sustainability/SDscorecard - June 20/July 18 - Upcoming City Council Meetings: - 2K Operations and Maintenance - Recreation Center Naming - PRG Fees/Charges by August for City Council - Introduction of PRG Advisory Committee This was continued 6 Committee Member Reports and Information Committee Members shared general information and updates.
