Call To Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance Meeting called to order at 6:02 p.m. Attendees: Brendan Binns, Steve Douglas, Crystal Elliott, Bruce Emery, Mary Hogan Chan, Brent Loomis, Justin Maillet, Adam Venanzi, Bret Walker, Jacob Wilson Absent: Dana Bond Staff Present: Carolyn Keith, Karen O'Donnell, Mike Brown, Paul Hebinck, Maria Jepson, Amy Hendricks Let the record show Member Douglas joined the meeting at 6:04 p.m. Let the record show Member Binns joined the meeting at 6:05 p.m. 2. Introduction of New Committee Member and Staff Newly appointed member, Mary Hogan Chan, was introduced to the group. 3. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Loomis, seconded by Member Emery to approve the June 19, 2018 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. A motion was made by Member Emery, seconded by Member Douglas to approve the July 17, 2018 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. 4. Unfinished Business 18-58 Collaborative Relationships and Community Partners Attachments: Alternative Funding Sources Collaborative Relationships and Community Partners Director, Carolyn Keith reviewed the handout she presented at the July 17, 2018. There was discussion about the availability for football practice fields for youth. New Business 18-64 Capital Improvement Project 5-year Plan Attachments: CIP 5-Year Plan Presentation Parks Planning Manager, Mike Brown gave a presentation on the PRG 5-year Capital Improvement Program (see presentation). This Administrative Business was discussed and closed 18-66 PRG Advisory Committee Interview Question Review Attachments: PRG Advisory Committee Interview Questions A copy of the Parks, Recreation & Golf Advisory Committee interview questions were distributed to the group for discussion (attached). Councilman Steve Douglas let the group know that these questions will be asked for each board position. Members from the group suggested that two questions be added to the questionnaire regarding a candidate’s time commitment availability for the board position and comfort level doing public outreach. This Administrative Business was continued 18-67 New Eagle Pointe Hours of Operation The gymnasium closed on August 20, 2018. Hours of operation at Eagle Pointe are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The center is closed on Saturday and Sunday. This Administrative Business was continued 6. Committee Reports & Information Members shared general information and updates. Currently, there are eight kids signed up for Monday camp programs at Bison Ridge. October 6, 2018 is the Rapids Game event. The PRG Advisory Committee has use of the suite for this game. Members need to let staff know if they plan to attend the game by September 18, 2018. Beginning on September 4, 2018, there will be military discounts for Commerce City residents who are active-duty members, which includes family members. In addition, residents who are disabled veterans will be eligible for the military discount. 7. PRG Announcements Distributed to all members via email on August 14, 2018, and available on www.c3gov.com. 8.
