Call To Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance - 6:00 PM Meeting was called to order at 6:04 pm by Co-Chair Houde. Members Present: Clark Berggren, DeLilah Collins, Rick Davis, Alejandro Garcia, Josh Houde, Shawn McDowell, Katie Southard, Michael Stegman Absent: Craig Hurst, Kendall Ryerson, Bret Walker PRG Staff present: Chad Redin, Paul Hebinck, Carolyn Keith, Traci Ferguson, Lisa Nordholt, Maria Jepson, Jamie Rice/CD Guest: Terrance Coon & Maria Rodriguez - Commerce City residents 2. Introductions Staff and committee members introduced themselves for new members. 3. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member McDowell seconded by Member Collins to approve the November 16, 2021 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. 4. New Business 22-16 Comprehensive Plan: Existing Conditions Report - Jennifer Jones/Jamie Rice Attachments: 1-18 Comprehensive Plan Presentation Jamie Rice, Planner in the Community Development Department reviewed the Comprehensive Plan/Existing Conditions Report. Highlights include long range and current planning, which includes housing, economic development, land use, transportation, parks, socio-economic factors, etc. The renewed vision, development and goals will look to address the substantial growth in Commerce City. Community outreaches identified several key areas to address (uniting North & South Commerce City, lack of commercial retail, core city reinvestment, housing variety, homelessness, workforce development, fiscal sustainability and City image.) Staff answered questions and feedback was provided, including the inadequate wifi connectivity within the community. Unfinished Business 22-17 February Meeting via Zoom - Carolyn Keith The committee agreed to hold a Zoom meeting for February. Director Keith stated the Information Technology (IT) Department will assist with set up of hybrid meetings (Zoom/in-person) in the future. 6. Council Member Reports & Information Council Member Davis advised the annual Council weekend retreat is coming up in February. 7. Committee Member Reports & Information Member Collins is also on the Comprehensive Plan Community Advisory Committee and participated in the recent outreach sessions. There were many different opportunities for the community to participate including virtual options. 8. PRG Announcements Distributed to all members via email on January 14, 2022. 9.
