Call To Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance - 6:00 PM Meeting was called to order at 6:07 pm by Co-Chair Houde. Members Present: DeLilah Collins, Alejandro Garcia, Josh Houde, Shawn McDowell, Kaitlin Nares, Chris Niyork, Michael Stegman Absent: Rick Davis, Craig Hurst, Katie Southard, Bret Walker PRG Staff present: Carolyn Keith, Chad Redin, Maria Jepson Guest: Desiree Martinelli - Commerce City resident 2. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Stegman seconded by Member McDowell to approve the June 21, 2022 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. 3. New Business 22-137 Member Name Badge/Shirt Distribution Committee members that had not previously received their name badges or PRG Advisory Committee shirts due to the meetings being held virtually when they came on board received their name badge and were able to select committee shirts from the various color and sizes that were available to choose from. 22-138 PRGAC Orientation Overview Discussion indicated the desire for content to be cloud-based and accessible either through the city site or separate software/app if available. Content requested included key links, plans, YouTube channel links, available city and parks maps, outline of future vision, upcoming events, budget aspects, links to other interactive items and historical information. Currently on City website there is both City and department information with a city-wide organization chart. There is also information on City boards and commissions. Members are encouraged to continue to share thoughts going forward. If packets are distributed, they should include links or a QR code to access the online materials along with a list of PRGAC meeting dates and staff contacts. 4. Community Feedback Update Commerce City Page 1 Parks, Recreation, and Golf Meeting Minutes - Final July 19, 2022 Advisory Committee Members shared positive personal interactions with the Bison Ridge recreation center pool, the Bison Grill and the golf course club house. There is growing excitement about the upcoming renovation of the clubhouse. It was noted there have been hot temps in two, second floor workout rooms with spin bikes at Bison Ridge. These rooms have A/C but there have been HVAC issues due to the shared wall with the pool. 5. Council Member Reports & Information No reports. 6. Committee Member Reports & Feedback Commerce City 4th Fest Event (Rapids game was sold out) • Fireworks show was fantastic • Turnout was great, estimated 3,500 attendees in the family activities area • Traffic issues along Quebec after the event; DSGP could do better logistics regarding traffic Comp Plan Advisory Committee Update • Corridors, intersections and railroad station improvements • Discussion of possible name updates for local areas such as Derby and Northern Range that would be solely for the Comp Plan document. Recommendations will be sent to City Council. 7. PRG Announcements Distributed to all members via email on July 15, 2022. 8.
