Call To Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance - 6:00 PM Meeting was called to order at 6:03 pm by Co-Chair Houde. Members Present: DeLilah Collins, Josh Houde, Desiree Martinelli, Shawn McDowell, Kaitlin Nares, Chris Niyork, Susan Noble, Michael Stegman Let the record show Member McDowell joined the meeting at 6:08 pm, Member Nares and Member Niyork had challenges w Zoom and joined as soon as those were resolved. Absent: Oz Flores, Alejandro Garcia, Craig Hurst Katie Southard Staff present: Carolyn Keith, Chad Redin, Tim Duda, Pam Young, Aman Chabra and Maria Jepson 2. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Welander seconded by Member Martinelli to approve the July 18, 2023, minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. Unfinished Business 23-204 PRG Master Plan/PRG Advisory Committee Support - Carolyn Keith (no attached documents/discussion only) Director Keith thanked members that assisted with the Donut Pop-Up event on August 5th and shared a list of other upcoming engagement activities. She discussed materials being used to collect input, and elaborated on the mix of other outreach events being held between now and October 7, 2023. The City site has a page with Commerce City Page 1 Parks, Recreation, and Golf Meeting Minutes - Final August 15, 2023 Advisory Committee additional information and a link to the social pinpoint site. www.c3gov.com/PRGMasterPlan Site issues that members encountered were noted will be fixed and other improvements were noted as well. 23-205 PRG Advisory Committee Focus Group - Tuesday, August 22 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park at 6:00 PM - Carolyn Keith (no attached documents/discussion only) The interactive PRG Master Plan event for PRGAC members is on August 22, 2023 at 6 pm. Please join staff and the project consultants that evening to provide your feedback and receive other materials that can be shared with friends and neighbors. 23-206 City Tour - Saturday, October 28 meet at Buffalo Run Golf Course - Carolyn Keith (no attached documents/discussion only) Director Keith confirmed that the city tour date is scheduled for the end of October and those attending should meet at the Buffalo Run Golf Course. 23-207 Joint Meeting with City of Brighton Advisory Committee Wednesday, October 4 meeting 5:30 PM at Brighton Recreation Center - Carolyn Keith (no attached documents/discussion only) Confirmed which members believe they are able to attend this collaborative meeting on October 4th. Light dinner will be provided. Action will need to be taken at September meeting if this will be in lieu of the regular PRGAC meeting on October 17, 2023. 5. New Business 23-208 PRG Advisory Committee Promo Video - Maria Jepson Aman Chabra, the City’s Video Production Specialist, attended to engage with the group for meeting clips and member interviews that will be used in the promotional video he is putting together for each board and commission. He also shared information on the piece he is working on for the PRG Master Plan efforts which is separate from this video. 6. Community Engagement/Interaction Updates & Feedback Members Martinelli & Welander shared feedback from the August 5th Donut Pop Up event. Co-chair Collins indicated that the final music in the park event was well attended and everyone seemed to enjoy. Member Nares noted the ongoing interest she hears for pickle ball and tennis amenities. 7. Council Member Reports & Information None 8. Committee Member Reports & Information Co-chair Collins indicated that Parks Planner Ferguson attended their last meeting and the City’s Comprehensive Plan was discussed. Recreation Manager Duda reviewed upcoming events, shared that the C3 Wild for Life triathlon will have sponsorship packages available as well as participant enrollment and that the registration link is now active online.
