Call To Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance - 6:00 PM Members Present: (8) Meeting was called to order at 6:02 pm by Co-Chair Martinelli Members Present: DeLilah Collins, Charles Dukes, Oz Flores, Bob Grandinetti, Desiree Martinelli, Rocky Teter, Paul Welander and Karl Zimmermann Absent: Shawn McDowell Let the record show Member Flores joined the meeting at 6:13 pm Staff Present: Kathy LeVeque, Paul Hebinck, Tim Duda, Travis Huntington and Maria Jepson Guests: None The pledge of allegiance was recited. 2. Public Comment - None 3. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Teter, seconded by Member Grandinetti to approve the April 15, 2025 minutes with an amendment by Member Welander to affirm that Oz Flores was not in attendance. VOTE: Motion Passed. Min 25-104 Minutes of April 15, 2025 Meeting Attachments: Minutes 4. Unfinished Business 25-122 Fees & Charges Review - Tim Duda/Paul Hebinck Golf Manager Hebinck and Recreation Manager Duda revisited the topic of the current rates as well as various options to increase to the fees and charges as set by City Council. A motion was made by Member Flores, seconded by Member Dukes to increase golf rates to reflect the 80% cost recovery goal and for staff to return with additional information on the questions that needed further review. VOTE: Motion Passed. A motion was made by Member Flores, seconded by Member Grandinetti to Commerce City Page 1 Parks, Recreation, and Golf Meeting Minutes - Final May 20, 2025 Advisory Committee move forward with the proposed increase for the recreation fees and then revisit the annual membership rate for seniors. VOTE: Motion Passed. 25-110 Update on Park Policies City Council Discussion - Kathy LeVeque Deputy Director LeVeque shared updates from the May 12, 2025 Council meeting regarding prohibiting shopping carts in parks, rights-of-way and all city properties; park curfew; and increasing park security patrols. 5. New Business 25-159 Website Engagement and Feedback - Travis Huntington Community Relations Manager Huntington provided information on the update to the City’s website that are underway. He requested member feedback as well as assistance in getting the word out to community members. 25-160 How PRGAC can Promote Marketing - Committee Discussion Topic tabled to June or July agenda. 25-161 Upcoming Events Table Coverage - Committee Discussion Due to time constraints, staff will send out SignUpGenius online link for members to indicate their availability. 6. Consideration of New Topics and Potential Future Agenda Itema None 7. Community Engagement Updates & General Discussion Items None 8. Council Member Reports & Information Council Member Teter shared kudos for Member Grandinetti’s Earth Day efforts and invited everyone to engage with the upcoming Memorial Day Parade as well as the event immediately following it. Council Member Dukes updated members on the efforts to: streamline the proclamation process to maximize their available working time and efficiency; implement neighborhood economic tours, modernize economic incentive packages and policies, and remove the metro district moratorium. 9. Committee Member Reports & Information Youth Commission Town Hall event – 7/12/25 from 11 am to 2 pm. Requesting that all boards and commissions participate with other City representatives.
