Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting called to order at 6:08 p.m. Present: Billy Gurr, Charles Dukes, Laurel Eller, Sheryl Carstens, Jacob Sawaged, Jennifer Prather, Catherine Brady, Ingrid Barnett Absent: Ravisha Martinez, Tonia Lopez 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes 09/22/2020 Attachments: Minutes Motion to approve minutes by Gurr. Seconded by Brady. Motion was unanimously passed. 3. New Business Grant Reports -The Commerce City Rotary Foundation requested for an extension to expend 2020 funds. The board discussed to extend final reporting through the end of March. A preliminary report will still be required by the original report deadline, January 31, 2021. Board asked staff to clarify if they will need a program change request. Motion to move forward with the said extension with the above conditions by Gurr. Seconded by Brady. Motion was unanimously approved. -Board member Prather shared with the members the general operating grant form as well as the program report form. Proposed format for grantees to submit their reports will be via google forms. Members Prather and Brady will check on character limits, and attachments. Staff will work on sending this information out to organizations before Thanksgiving. -Colorado Gives Day, December 8. Board member Gurr will work to finalize the e-mail database. Staff will work on a video about QCF. Members will work on promoting through fliers and social media. -Fall Fundraiser Board member Dukes presented his proposal for a virtual Painting for a Purpose fundraiser. Original plan was to do the event in December. Board members discussed the pros and cons and raised some logistical concerns. After discussion, Dukes Commerce City Page 1 Quality Community Foundation Meeting Minutes October 27, 2020 motioned to move the virtual Painting for a Purpose event to be held in February. Carstens seconded. Motion was unanimously approved. 4. Other Board member Gurr secured a donation from First Bank for $500. 2021 Golf Tournament is (tentatively) penciled in for June 4, 2021. 5. Announcements & Upcoming Dates November and December regular meetings are combined for December 1 at 6 p.m. 6. Adjourn Meeting was adjourned at 8:06 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
