Call To Order/Roll Call Present: Carlita Plummer, Bruce Reilly, Councilwoman Susan Noble, Carol Boyd, Carole Harvell, Tina Ledesma, George Maxey, Mary Kay Natho, Tillie Villareal, Gabriela Adeshewo, Jennie Loveridge, 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes 03/12/2020 Attachments: Minutes Under new business it should read; Staff and commissioners discussed outreach to seniors with COVID-19 pandemic. Commissioner Maxey motioned to approve with said edits. Commissioner Boyd seconded. Motion to approve March 12, 2020 minutes was approved. Councilwoman Noble motioned to approve February 13, 2020 meeting minutes. Commissioner Boyd seconded. Motion was approved. 3. New Business Commissioners discussed the Senior Resource page. They suggested that there is a short link for the resource page. Should be c3gov.com/senior-resource. Staff will work with web specialist. Members discussed current officer roles and decided to skip elections and extend current officer terms for another year. Commissioner Loveridge motioned to proceed as is. Commissioner Boyd seconded. Motion was approved. 4. Other Councilwoman Noble had proposed to bring priorities and issues that the City Council is currently working on for Senior Commission to advise. She informed the commission of current topics and issues that are in front of Council. Commission discussed supporting local businesses. Councilwoman Noble informed the commission that the city awarded $91,000 in grant funding to 21 local businesses in the third round of COVID-19 recovery grants. The grants are funded by a $100,000 additional contribution made by city council towards the C3 Community Assistance Program, which was originally approved by city council in April.
