Call to Order Chair Plummer called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m. Present 11 - Commissioner Carlita Plummer, Commissioner Carol Boyd, Commissioner Carole Harvell, Commissioner George Maxey, Commissioner Jennie Loveridge, Commissioner Mary Chan, Commissioner Myrna Ferguson, Commissioner Tillie Villareal, Alternate Commissioner Tina Ledesma, Council Member Susan Noble, and Ex Officio Gabriela Adeshewo Absent 1 - Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas 2. Guest Speaker: Via Mobility Services Martha Fierro from Via Mobility Services presented to the Senior Commission. Councilwoman Noble arrived at 3:11 p.m. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 22-239 Meeting Minutes of August 11, 2022 Vice Chair Boyd made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 11, 2022 meeting. New Business: Officer Term Limits Commissioner Harvell made a motion to amend the Senior Commission Operating Procedures to hold Officer elections yearly at the Annual Retreat and allow members to serve in a position for up to two consecutive terms. Commissioner Ledesma seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Annual Retreat Commissioner Chan made a motion to hold the Annual Retreat at the October meeting from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Commissioner Ledesma seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Commissioner Ledesma suggested a speaker for the November meeting. Commissioner Chan made a motion to invite Oak Street Medical Group to speak at the November meeting. Vice Chair Boyd seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 5. Old Business: Senior Housing Visits Commissioner Ledesma presented an update on the Kearny Plaza listening session. She shared the visit will be on September 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Kearny Plaza Community Room. Commissioner Ferguson left the meeting at 4:30 p.m. Senior Fan Initiative Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, shared an update on the Senior Fan Initiative, and the Commission discussed next steps.
