Call To Order Commissioner Acevedo called the meeting to order at 6:37 p.m. Present 4 - Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Commissioner Megan Pham, and Commissioner René Bullock Absent 7 - Commissioner Isabela Velasco-Zubia, Commissioner Keegan Jones, Commissioner Kenia Prieto, Commissioner Morgan Smith, Commissioner Michael Kelley, Commissioner Ingrid Barnett, and Council Member Kristi Douglas 2. Approval of Minutes Min 22-235 Meeting Minutes of August 18, 2022 Commissioner Kennison made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 18, 2022 meeting. Commissioner Cordero seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 3. Budget Update Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, shared a budget update would be provided at a future meeting. New Business: Youth Commission + YAC Restructure Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, shared that the role of the Youth Advisory Committee will be incorporated into the Youth Commission. Voter Registration Drive The Commission tabled the conversation for a future meeting. Veteran's Day Postcard Project Commissioner Kennison made a motion to move forward with the Veteran's Day Project and approve expenditures for supplies. Commissioner Cordero seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Apparel Commissioner Bullock made a motion to approve ordering Youth Commission sweatshirts. Commissioner Pham seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 5. Old Business: Senior Holiday Event The Commission discussed details for the Senior Holiday event. It was determined that Commissioners Cordero and Pham would serve on the activity subcommittee, and Commissioner Acevedo would serve on the music subcommittee. Brighton Image Summit The Commissioners discussed the upcoming Brighton Image Summit. Upcoming Volunteer Events The Commissioners discussed upcoming volunteer events. 6. Other Business None. 7.
