Call to Order Chair Plummer called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m. Present 11 - Commissioner Anita Mercado, Commissioner Carol Taylor-Boyd, Commissioner Carole Harvell, Alternate Commissioner Diane Narvaez, Commissioner George Maxey, Commissioner Jennie Loveridge, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas, Commissioner Mary Chan, Commissioner Mary Natho, Council Member Susan Noble, and Commissioner Tillie Villareal Absent 2 - Ex Officio Gabriela Adeshewo, and Commissioner Myrna Ferguson 2. Guest Speaker: Charity Clifton, Oak Street Health The Oak Street Health Team met with the Senior Commission. 3. Guest Speaker: Kelly Roberts, Area Agency on Aging The Area Agency on Aging facilitated a conversation about the challenges and needs of the Commerce City Senior Community. 4. New Member Introduction The new Senior Commissioners introduced themselves. 5. Approval of Minutes Min 22-301 Minutes of the Oct. 13, 2022 Meeting Commissioner Harvell made a motion to approve the minutes of the Oct. 13, 2022 meeting. Remaining 2022 Budget Commissioner Harvell made a motion to spend up to $2,200 of the remaining budget on promotional items, end-of-the-year logistics, name tags and a service project. B. Promotional Items This item was discussed above. C. Senior Needs Assessment Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, invited the Commissioners to a Senior Needs Assessment Kick-Off Meeting on Nov. 17 at 3:00 p.m. D. December Celebration Chair Plummer shared the logistics of the December meeting. Commissioner Chan, Council Woman Noble and Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas left the meeting at 5:02 p.m. 7. Old Business: A. 2023 Goal Review and Approval Vice Chair Boyd made a motion to approve the 2023 goals and budget. Commissioner Villareal seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 8.
