Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting called to order at 6:36 p.m. Present: Morgan Smith, Isabela Velasco-Zubia, Mike Kelley, Kyra Ann Dixon, LeCrea Dixon, Ingrid Barnett Absent: Kenia Prieto, Rene Bullock, Councilman Jose Guardiola, Councilwoman Nicole Frank, Kay Thomas 2. Challenge Question/Ice Breaker No icebreaker/challenge questions was asked. 3. Approval of Minutes Meeting Minutes of September 2, 2021 Attachments: 09/02/2021 This item will be tabled for next meeting. 4. New Business o Youth Member Update There's currently 9 vacancies; three new applicants. Commissioners discussed a recruitment video and sharing the youth commission flyer. o 2021/2022 Proposed Goals and Expectations • Positively impact the community through volunteer and engagement opportunities. • Develop and execute projects that supports the youth master plan and that help recruit commissioners. • Cultivate an environment where positive and healthy relationships can grow within the commission. • Provide opportunities for youth commissioners to learn life skills that are currently not being taught in school. • Continue to work with City Council by advising on matters related to youth and being civically engaged. • Actively being present and engaged during meetings. • Have fun Commerce City Page 1 Youth Commission Meeting Minutes October 7, 2021 Commissioners will review and finalize next meeting. 5.
