Water connection charges - Effective January 1r2024. (1) Except as provided in paragraph (4) of this section, those customers inside the corporate limits of the City of Cookeville shall pay a water connection fee established at the time of meter installation. The connection fees are listed below: For 5/8"x 314" Meter connection fee $2,500 For 1" Meter connection fee $3,000 For 2" Meter connection fee $6,600 Over 2" Meter connection fee cost of labor, overhead, and materials (2) Except as provided in paragraph (4) of this section, those customers outside the corporate limits of the City of Cookeville, provided a water main is adjacent to the property, shall pay a water connection fee established at the time of meter installation. The connection fees are listed below: For 5/8"x 314" Meter connection fee $2,700 For 1" Meter connection fee $3,200 For 2" Meter connection fee $6,700 Over 2" Meter connection fee: cost of labor, overhead, and materials  (3) For the above connection charge, the department will furnish all necessary labor and materials to bring water service to the customer's property, including the meter, meter setter, and meter box for sizes 2" and under. Customer shall pay for all labor, overhead, and materials for sizes over 2". The entire installation remains the property of the department. (4) Water connection charges within developments where the water system has been installed at the expense of the developer, including the meter box, meter setters, and service line to the customers property shall be $500 for a 518"x314" meter, $600 for a 1" meter, and $1,500 for a2" meter - all inside the City Limits. Outside the City Limits, an additional cost of $100 per meter shall be added. The customer shall pay the connection fee established at the time of meter installation. (5) In high density developments, such as townhouses, apartments, or strip malls, the Deparlment may require the Developer to install a gangmeter vault. The connection charge in the developer installed gang meter vault installed, per the Department's detail, shall be $3500 for a 518"x314" meter, $450 for a 1" meter, and $1,500 for a2" meter * all inside the City Limits. Outside the City Limits, an additional cost of $100 per meter shall be added. The customer shall pay the connection fee established at the time of meter installation. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall take effect fourteen (14) days from and after its final passage, the public welfare requiring it. The estimate we have for getting it repaired is $8,699.37, so based on its milage and age, I am recommending that we sell it without repairing it. The SCADA radios were removed during a radio replacement project. They no longer make this radio, we purchased some of these off eBay to keep our system running. We don't expect them to bring much, but they would have some value for someone that still has a system using this radio. The motors and rotating assemblies were removed from the old Deberry Heights pump station. They are good motorso but unless the right person sees an ad, they will likely be scrapped for the copper in thern.
