COOKEVILLE HISTORIC ZONING COMMISSION AUGUST 13, 2002 5:30 P.M. The Cookeville Historical Commission met on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 45 East Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501. MEMBERS PRESENT: Don Prince, Calvin Dickinson, Greg Stamps, Alma Anderson. and Mary Jean Delozier. STAFF PRESENT: James Mills. OTHERS PRESENT: Lewis Jackson and Tara Mitchell Mielnik from the Tennessee Historical Commission. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN AND CO-CHAIRMAN. Alma Anderson made the motion to re-elect by acclamation current officers. Calvin Dickinson seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously. DON PRINCE, CHAIRMAN AND GREG STAMPS, CO-CHAIRMAN. CONSIDER FOR APPROVAL THE MINUTES OF JULY 11, 2002. Mary Jean Delozier made the motion to approve the minutes of July 11, 2002. Alma Anderson seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously. APPROVED. TRAINING FOR CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROGRAM BY TARA MITCHELL MIELNIK. Tara Mitchell Mielnik, from the Tennessee Historic Commission reviewed the Certified Local Government Program. She discussed with the Commission the requirements for an Annual Report and for the completion of a Survey of Historical Properties. Ms. Mielnik also discussed potential grant projects for the City. The possibility of the development of a brochure on historic preservation was generally endorsed by the Commission. ADJOURNMENT: 6:45 P.M.
