Parkway Boulevard. The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items: Regular Session (Open to the Public) 1. Call To Order Chair Guignon called the meeting to order at 6:31 pm. Members Present: Ed Guignon, Nick Paschal, Margaret Bryan, Mary Arnold, Maheshika Ratnayake, Maureen Corcoran, Zainab Tinwala, Jeff Roller, Chaitnya Jayanti, Sidarth Shenoy Staff Present: Jessica Carpenter, Adam Richter, Sheri Belmont, Cecilia Gandara, David City of Coppell, Texas Page 1 Parks and Recreation Board Minutes May 2, 2022 Ellison 2. Citizens' Forum: Citizens should complete a Citizens Appearance Form which can be requested from the Parks and Recreation Department no later than 2:00PM on the first Monday of each month. Pursuant to the State Open Meetings Law, the Board is restricted in discussing or taking action on items not posted on the Agenda. Action on your statements can only be taken at future meetings Madeline White, 612 Wellington Rd., expressed her interest for additional pickleball courts. Phillip Easton, 110 Turnberry Lane, expressed his interest for enhancements to the disk golf course. Barb Schmidt, 622 Pheasant Lane, expressed her interest for additional pickleball courts. Candy Sheehan, 321 Quiet Valley, expressed her interest for additional pickleball courts. Mel Roshanravan, 755 Bethel School, expressed her interest for indoor pickleball courts. 3. Consider approval of minutes: April 4, 2022 A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran, seconded by Boardmember Bryan, that this agenda item be approved . The motion carried by an unanimous vote. 4. Discussion regarding the 2022 Project Priority List The Board reviewed the Project Priority List and made the change of adding the enhancements to the disk golf as a low priority to the list. 5. Consider approval of the 2022 Project Priority List. A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran, seconded by Boardmember Ratnayake, that this agenda item be approved with the addition of enhancements to the disk golf course as a low priority. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 6. Youth Sports update by the Coppell YMCA Rodney Black gave an update on current activities at the Coppell YMCA. 7. Manager's Update - Eric Clay, Wagon Wheel Tennis and Pickleball Center Manager Erick Clay gave an update on activities at the Wagon Wheel Tennis and Pickleball Center. 8. Youth Advisor's Report Youth Advisor Sidarth Shenoy expressed his interest on programs and events out in the parks. 9. Director’s Report City of Coppell, Texas Page 2 Parks and Recreation Board Minutes May 2, 2022 Director Jessica Carpenter updated the Board on up coming events and park projects. 10. Chair Report A. Future Agenda Items Nothing to report. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Parks and Recreation Board, the meeting was adjourned at 8:35 pm.
