C.-1. 15-4347 A Resolution authorizing the sale of alcohol and waiving the parking rental fee of $2,580.00 after 3:30 p.m., on the 100 block of Giralda Avenue on the first Friday of each month from November 2015 through April 2016, for a total of six events, for the Giralda Under the Stars street dining series, subject to Florida Department of Professional Regulations requirements. C.-2. 15-4351 A Resolution authorizing the waiver of the cost of parking fees in the City ’s public garages and the use of a City Trolley on November 28, 2015, for the 2015 "Small Business Saturday," from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. C.-3. 15-4367 A Resolution authorizing Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce to sell alcoholic beverages at Fred B. Hartnett Ponce Circle Park, on Thursday, November 5, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., during the "Burgerliscious" event, to benefit Coral Gables Community Foundation, subject to Florida Department of Professional Regulation Requirements. C.-4. 15-4381 A Resolution granting a one-day permit to The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, Inc., to sell alcoholic beverages on Saturday, January 16, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Ponce de Leon Boulevard (South bound lanes between Miracle Mile and Aragon Avenue), adjacent to Hillstone Restaurant in Coral Gables, during the 5th Annual “Block Party” event, subject to Florida Department of Professional Regulation Requirements. C.-5. 15-4368 A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award a contract for Security System Services to Benham Protective Services, pursuant to Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 2015.07.23, and Section 2-828 entitled “Contract Award” of the Procurement Code. C.-6. 15-4301 A Resolution authorizing expenditures in the amount of $ 108,655 from Federal Forfeited Asset Fund (F.A.F.) monies, for the acquisition of law enforcement equipment; the purchase of electric vehicles for utilization by the Coral Gables Police Department. C.-7. 15-4346 A Resolution granting permission to the Coral Gables Firefighter ’s Benevolent Association to sell Christmas trees, install a temporary chain link fence, and use an inflatable Santa Claus as a display at 5501 Granada Boulevard, the Coral Gables Baptist Church property, starting on or about November 22 through December 24, 2015. C.-8. 15-4369 A Resolution confirming the appointment of John P. Fullerton (Board-As-A-Whole-Appointment) to serve as a member of the Historic Preservation Board for the remainder of a two (2) year term, which began on June 1, 2015 and continues through May 31, 2017. Anyone who wishes to address the City Commission on an item to be considered for public hearing must fill out a Speaker Card and turn it in to the City Clerk. Speaker Cards can be obtained on the credenza located outside the Office of the Mayor, during the day of the City Commission Meeting. ORDINANCES ON SECOND READING E.-1. 15-4309 An Ordinance of the City Commission of Coral Gables, Florida, granting guardhouse operators the authority to request information from individuals driving into communities where a guardhouse is present during certain hours, and providing for immunity for actions in accordance with these provisions; providing for a repealer provision, severability clause, codification, and providing for an effective date. RESOLUTIONS E.-2. 15-4357 Resolution. Mixed Use Site Plan Review. A Resolution of the City Commission of Coral Gables, Florida requesting mixed use site plan review pursuant to Zoning Code Article 4, “Zoning Districts”, Division 2, “Overlay and Special Purpose Districts”, Section 4-201, “Mixed Use District (MXD)” for the mixed use project referred to as “One Merrick Park,” on the property legally described as Lots 8-11, Block 9, Industrial Section (351 San Lorenzo Avenue), Coral Gables, Florida; including required conditions; providing for an effective date. CITY COMMISSION ITEMS APPEAL F.-1. 15-4362 Board of Adjustment Appeal - Application No. BA 12-12-3657 (4635 Granada Boulevard). Mr. Leonardo L. Cornide, applicant, has filed an appeal to the Coral Gables City Commission from a decision of the Board of Adjustment at its regular meeting of Monday, September 14, 2015, wherein it denied a variance request as outlined under the applicant’s proposal. G. BOARDS/COMMITTEES ITEMS None H. CITY MANAGER ITEMS H.-1. 15-4384 A Resolution authorizing the waiver of City permit fees and assisting in the permit process for properties assessed as part of the Miracle Mile and Giralda Avenue Streetscape Project for any façade-related improvements and/or improvements to the sidewalk pavers within private property along storefronts made during the project construction. H.-2. 15-4356 A Resolution of the City Commission of Coral Gables, Florida, amending Ordinance No . 2015-17, as amended, to revise certain fees by the Development Services Department; providing for severability, and an effective date. H.-3. 15-4375 A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the Adult Activity Center contract to Stone Concept Miami, Inc ., pursuant to Invitation For Bids (IFB) 2015.08.21, and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”. H.-4. 15-4355 Discussion on Metal Roofs. I. CITY ATTORNEY ITEMS I.-1. 15-4389 Discussion and status update regarding interpretations and possible amendments to the Lot Split Ordinance. J. DISCUSSION ITEMS This time is for informal discussion among the City Commissioners, the City Manager and the City Attorney ADJOURNMENT NOTE Any person who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No . 2006-11, must register with the City Clerk, prior to engaging in lobbying activities before city staff, boards, committees and/or the City Commission. A copy of the Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. Any person, or persons, wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, will require a verbatim record of the proceeding upon which the appeal is based. Interested persons should, therefore, take the necessary steps to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which contains the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while addressing the Commission, shall be barred from further audience before the Commission by the Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the Commission is granted by the majority vote of the Commission Members present . Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited. Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers. Any person requiring special accommodations for participation in the meeting should contact Ernesto Pino, Assistant Public Works Director, at 305-460-5004, with requests for any auxiliary aids or services at least one business day before the meeting.
